This is six… Houston Child Photographer

I have a spontaneous, goofy, serious six year old!! Eekk, I can’t even believe it. (Sobbing) I need to remind my self that before I know it she will be a 15 year old headed to high school. Enjoying every moment I get with her is truly a gift from God. Over our winter break we spent time with my grandparents, I saw how humble my daughter is and also how grateful she is for everything that is given to her. The moments that seem not important are the most important.

As I was editing these images, tears were flowing down my face. I mean, look at her!

This session was just about her having fun in a wide open space (I mean look at this studio is freaking AMAZING).

I am working on a special project for my daughter. I have been thinking about maybe making it public and offering a few sessions to some very special little girls. Please keep a look out on my Instagram and Facebook for more updates. I am hoping that I am finished just in time before spring is here. Just a little teaser… colors are white, pink, baby blue, and GOLD!! Okay, I might have said too much!

River and Mountains Houston Child Photographer

This Summer has been one for the books. My daughter spent four weeks away from home and I got to spend a week with her enjoying the great view, food, and weather. Wet hair, crazy tan lines, rosy cheeks, skinned legs and knees, and late nights. That’s how her summer was and I am so grateful she experienced another country and it’s every day life.
Those Mountains were her back yard, her everyday view, sunrise and sunset. She talks about them often as well about the river. Now that she is back we spend our last days of summer at the park, splash pads, and pool. I was worried she would forget the few swimming skills she learn since spring but she improved so much over the summer… take a look.

Kindergarten here I go… Houston Child Photographer

As much as we love summer.. the late nights, waking up late, not having to prep a lunch, not fighting over what to wear, and not having a schedule. I am ready for all of it to come back. I’m excited for 7:30pm bed time, 6am alarm, lunch prep, and most of all to have a schedule. I am ready to have time to work out uninterrupted, have lunch with friends, and work without any distractions.

I watched her grow so much this summer that I sobbed. I can’t believe I almost have a six year old. It’s a very exciting time for us and we are enjoying it to the fullest.

I wish everyone a very blessed school year for their family. Let’s hope it’s an easy transition for everyone.

I wish I could take credit for her outfit but honestly this was all her and when she showed me I said “yes it’s perfect” she was very excited. And I am loving her tan… can you tell she is darker? she was in Mexico for a month with her grandparents and well how could you not go swimming everyday when the river is only two blocks from your house. RIGHT?
